This class is recommended to those that have already taken the Spring Beginner to Beekeeping class or have experience in hives for at least 1 full season. (if you are brand new, this isn’t the best place to start and see is in the Jan-April for our classes).
We will help beekeepers understand the benefits of a few techniques to prepare for overwintering their hives. Prep and steps you can take to help them BEE more successful throughout their huddling/vibration and survival mode time in the hive.
Actionable steps help encourage 1st year beekeepers strive and thrive versus feeling lost and sad in the Spring. We talk on experience but still encourage multiple avenues of advice and encouragement from the bee community. Our favorite friends at the Southwestern Ohio Beekeepers Association are also great advocates of those in our community and we recommend attending their September 12th meeting. Here is a LINK to their website to learn more.
